Hi 2024 & 2025 Hurricane Families! 

We wanted to open up the Typhoons registration for kids 5-8 who are not yet ready for competition swim to you all prior to opening it up to the broader Hartland Community. 

Registration is not considered final until payment is received. There will be a cap of 15 swimmers. Refunds will be issued if swimmers cannot meet requirements during tryouts.

Please make sure you choose "2025 Hartland Typhoons" 

Typhoons is for swimmers who are looking to grow proficiency in their strokes. Note these are NOT swim lessons. Swimmers should be able to swim and be generally comfortable on their own. 

Swimmers will NOT participate in competitions. 

Registration is $150 for the season. 

Typhoons is not open to non-Hartland residents

Season is June 16 - end of July (either 18th or 25th)

Requirements: 

Ages 8 and Under

Must be comfortable in the water (not fearful of submerging head)

Must be able to swim a minimum distance (width of pool) without stopping

Should be able to float on their back for at least 15-30 seconds

Must be able to tread water for at least 15-30 seconds

Tryouts:

Tuesday May 27 at 5pm (More info to come)

Registration:

4/24: Families with kids on 2025 or 2024 team

Noon 4/25: All Hartland Families

Practices:

Group 1: Mon and Fri Mornings: 8:30-9

Group 2: Mon and Fri Mornings: 9-9:30

Group 3: Tues and Thurs Evenings: 7-7:30

Group 4: Tues and Thurs Evenings: 7:30-8pm

During registration you can provide a morning or evening preference. We will do our best to accommodate. You do not sign up for a specific group.

Families with kids ONLY on Typhoons do not need to meet volunteer requirements.

Attendance at meets is highly encouraged but not required
